In a surprising crossover event that breaks usual expectations, the game developer has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the formal announcement, "An unusual meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The narrative features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden cult.

The questline focuses on "bizarre trials and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses

The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a striking scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Additional Material

Players who finish the quest will receive an special katana in addition to multiple items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
